Become a Member

The society was formed with the objectives of raising the public awareness of WA’s role in the Second Anglo-Boer of 1899-1902 and perpetuating the memory of all those who served and fell during that conflict. We encourage any one interested in helping to preserve  and promote These events to become a member.

The Committee wishes to acknowledge the service of founding Member and former Secretary, Mr Kevin Bovill and to thank him for his tireless efforts in establishing the Society.

What we do

Each year the BWMSWA holds Commemoration Ceremony recognising the service of those who fought and lost their lives in the Boer War.  This service is held on a Sunday as near as possible to May 31, the day in 1902 the Treaty of Vereeniging was signed to end the war.

Our Goal is to Ensure that those Men and Women of the Boer War are Not Forgotten
